What’s better than pizza and beer during your engagement session? Lindsay and Audree braved the cold rooftop for the ultimate casual engagement session! Hotbox pizza came in clutch with the most decadent pepperoni pizza and Lindsay + Audree brought one of their favorite 6 packs. Let the engagement session begin!

Lindsay + Audree had some hesitation before they decided to meet. They were set up on a blind date (after many hours of social media creeping) and had brunch at Taxman Brewing Company in Fortville, a place that both love to visit often. Their friend that set them up will even be their officiant! Upon arrival, and before their introductions, Audree walked across the brewery to look at the merchandise. She wasn’t prepared for the intro without the help of her friends so she put her head down and walked right by Lindsay without saying a word! Ha! She thought Lindsay didn’t notice, but NOT A CHANCE! Lindsay will never let her live that down!

Their initial attraction was driven by all of the similaraties that the two of them share. They continiously push each other to reach outside of their comfort zones and try new things. If you are in the market for a new date idea, Lindsay came up with the perfect idea!

They had just moved to Indy, so Lindsay made the two of them a jar that consisted of all of the breweries in the Indianapolis area. When they are stuck on a date night idea, they pull a new brewery out of the jar. When they first started the tradition, Lindsay didn’t even like beer (me either ha!) But now, it has brought them together even more. I think maybe Lindsay even slightly likes beer now too! 😉

The Proposal

Now for the proposal story! Lindsay proposed to Audree at the top of Epire Bluff Trail in Honor, Michigan in April of 2019. In typical Lindsay fashion (according to Audree), Lindsay had every little detail planned forthe whole entire day. It was a little chilly and rainy, but they walked down to the lighthouse and Lindsay handed Audree a card with a #1 on it. Each card led them to a different place and spot along the trail. Right before the proposal, they walked up to their final stop on Empire Bluff Trail. It was so foggy that they could only see the trees and not the water. Audree saw a photographer checking her light and realized what was about to happen! Before she knew it, Lindsay was down on one knee, and the rest is history!

Audree and Lindsay will be getting married on July 18, 2020 at The Gathering Barn in Bringhurst, Indiana. Bryt and I cannot wait to shoot their wedding!
