We love that we get to highlight the fantastic places that just so happen to be in our home state! It’s fun to find these little hidden gems because at first glance, one might have the crazy thought of “who would want to vacation/elope/get married/adventure in Indiana??” Okay now… we hear you and we are here to do just that! – To answer that “WHY” (in a visual way!) Let’s just started already!
We love our home state for many reasons (and so do our couples!). We know there are beautiful locations elsewhere but sometimes eloping in your home state just resonates with you! Whether it be because of your budget, your timeline, or what have you, Indiana has some beautiful options for your elopement! So to anwser your question, we asked our previous Indiana elopement couples why they eloped here, and here is what they said!

The price of your Indiana Elopement can vary depending on what you want to spend your money on, but we find that our couples typically spend anywhere from $3,000-$10,000 on their Indiana elopement! Either way, the average price of an Indiana Wedding right now is about $25,000-$30,000 so we think elopement obviously take the cake here!

This little beauty and I go waaaay back. I actually grew up in Crawfordsville, so we have a lot of knowledge of this little town! The Yurt is one of our most popular elopement Airbnbs due to the location and look! We have photographed more elopements here than we can count! Location wise, it’s close to Turkey Run and Shades State Park, so after your ceremony you can head on over for some adventure photos! LGBTQ+ Friendly, too! Average Price: $229 a night

Just a short (25min) drive from Clifty Falls State Park is the cutest little cabin that is perfectly fit for an elopement! I mean, just look at the exterior! We can *just* picture an incredible day here, starting with coffee on the patio, an elopement in the woods, then a hike at Clifty Falls, and coming home to dinner under the starts. Can’t you just picture it?! Average Price: $161 per night.
The cutest little A-Frame cabin located just a short drive from Raccoon Lake. It has 3 bedrooms and is located on 5 acres of land, perfect for the intimacy of a private elopement! Hiking trails are also noted on the land, and even a small creek! Rockville also has 31 covered bridges to explore! At Racoon Lake you can enjoy boating, fishing, and over 8 miles of hiking trails! BONUS: They are confirmed LGBTQIA+ friendly! Average Price: $400 a night
Looking to go off grid for your elopement? Look no further! This spot is rated #1 for Indiana’s Best Glamping Spot! It’s located on over 100 acres of forest and working farm, perfect for exploring and adventuring with your lover! It has a heated outdoor shower and soaking sub (steamy tub pics anyone?!). BONUS: There are even animals here! It’s just minutes away from Nashville, IN and Brown County State Park (one of our favs!). Average Price: $318 a night.
You are never going to want to come back home after staying in this Beachfront Villa at Miller Beach! This cute little thang sits picture perfectly atop a 60 ft private dune!!! It is also known for it’s Greek Island-inspiration and nautically-theme. It is a Smart Home and is dog-friendly! There are 9 bedrooms, 6 bathrooms, 2 gourmet kitchens, 4 fireplaces, and 4 wet bars to offer! You can stay here and enjoy direct beach access and the Chicago skyline! We love the “Beachy Dune Vibe” here and you could even have a few guests attend! Average price per night: $2,451.00
The Lazy Creek Yurt, French Lick, IN
5 miles front downtown French Lick, IN is the cutest Yurt on a pond. I can picture a fall sunrise elopement here, a coffee bar, and a peaceful slow day just taking it all in. Afterwards, head to the casino for some fun pictures and gambling if that is your thing! Average price: $170 per night.
A perfect little cozy getaway to hide from all of the craziness of the world! The Artist’s A-Frame is perfect for a weekend getaway or even a small elopement. It is named very appropriately in our opinion…. it is a work of art! AND you can stay in it!! For this reason, this sweet getaway has comfort and convenience in mind when you choose to stay here. This unique, newly remodeled A-Frame home is nestled in a quiet, upscale neighborhood. You will be only minutes away from Clifty Falls State Park (10 minutes!) and Historic Downtown Madison (5 minutes!!). Average Price: $115 a night.
You dont get a name like this for nothing…. The Cozy Nest is just as described, extra cozy! The Cozy Nest is an ADORABLE three-bedroom, pet-friendly cottage with amazing views of a quiet, no-wake lake. They had us at pet friendly 🙂 The kitchen is fully stocked and beautifully renovated! That is not all the Cozy Nest has to offer because Satellite TV and DSL wifi are there for you if you choose to stay connected to the outside world – you don’t have to though! Wink wink… Trails run through the preserve across the road, and a couple of bicycles are available for exploring the surrounding countryside. Average Price: $180 a night.
If you are an adventurer at heart, this little Canvas Cottage is for you! This little guy is seriously, something dreams are made of! It is so SO unique. There is a queen bed and a bunk bed just for you! What else? Well, there is also a refrigerator, hot and cold running water in your tent, gas grill, and fire pit right out side your door! Just like old times!! Take this sweet, sweet time away to learn to fish or kayak! You can also rent one of their stand up paddle boards! What a great way to explore the lake or maybe even just to paddle around in the sun off of their sandy beach! Each canvas cottage has their own outdoor toilet and outdoor shower with hot and cold water. In the evenings enjoy the sunset through the pines!!! Average Price: $125 a night.
A sweet, sweet escape fromm reality! The Nashville Treasure House is the perfect modern getaway! This mid-century modern one bedroom house is located just 15 minutes from historic Nashville, Indiana! This slice of heaven is so beautifully decorated and happens to beadjacent to Yellowwood State Forest! SCORE! This house has an open floor plan. The large kitchen is open to a large family room… perfect for a family getaway. You can lounge around in your jammies or tan on the back deck OR watch the wildlife all right from the porch! Newly remodeled in 2019 it is a sight to see. You will be making plans for your next visit right after your first! Average Price: $230 a night.
Global Inspired Vintage Airstream, Nashville, IN
If camping and glamping are your vibe, then this airstream has you covered! Take a peek inside (it even has a fireplace!). Picture eloping in Brown County State Park, under the fall leaves, and then coming back to a campfire and some smores after your elopement adventure! We think that sounds like the perfect day! It has a fully stocked kitchen, a shower, and even a hammock! We love how this bad boy is nestled right in an area with endless trails too! Average Price: $95 a night.
Did someone say treehouse?! This Cozy Pines Treehouse is one of Indiana’s best kept secrets! It seriously looks like it belongs in a movie scene… all thanks to Cozy Pines being a sweet and secluded, cozy cabin that is nestled right in NINE gorgeous, wooded acres! The cabin has 4 bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms. What else is there? An outdoor hot tub, game room in the basement, fire pit, horse shoes, and even another treehouse for the kids!! HOW CUTE?! Average Price: $270 a night.
