Forget the rules. Forget the expectations. Emily and Adriana chose a wedding day that felt like them. They traded crowded venues and packed timelines for one of the best Indiana elopement locations (Brown County State Park), where they could focus on what mattered most: celebrating their love and beginning their next chapter together. With stunning views, plenty of adventure, and a whole lot of joy, their Brown County elopement was the perfect reflection of who they are as a couple—and exactly the kind of wedding day we love to photograph.

Brown County is easily one of our top choices for an Indiana elopement. It offers beautiful scenery year round, and it tends to be less populated than other Indiana State Parks. Other reasons why it is our favorite include:

One of the perks at having a Brown County Elopement is that it isn’t too expensive! It can range anywhere from $2,500 (think bigger weddings/receptions at Abe Martin Lodge) to $84.00 (renting a pavillion). Our favorite location (the amphitheater at the nature center) is less than $200!
In our opinion, Fall (think late September through early November) is the best time for your Brown County Elopement. However, you pretty much can’t go wrong elopement at any time of year in Brown County! I would highly encourage you to avoid

| October | 66°F | 45°F | Peak fall color, ideal weather for elopements |
| November | 54°F | 35°F | Quieter, moody forest tones, cooler but still beautiful scenery |

While there are endless options for cabins and Airbnbs in Brown County, one of our most favorite options are The Postcard Cabins by Marriott! There are 45 cabins nestled on about 250+ acres of private woods near Columbus, Indiana. They all feel pretty private and are close to hiking trails and Brown County State Park! And bonus??? They allow dogs!
