Annnnnnd they’re MARRIED!!!! They’re married y’all! Just a couple months ago we had the absolute PLEASURE of traveling to Breckenridge, Colorado to capture the love and marriage of Carly and Paul and their Breckenridge, Colorado Elopement. These two are magnetic and they truly know how to work the camera… for reallllll these pictures do not lie! So why wait any longer? Let’s get into the blog all about this epic elopement and of course, the location!
On October the tenth of this year, Carly and Paul tied the knot in one of the most adventurous, most beautiful, and most picture perfect spots in Breckenridge, Colorado. As you can imagine, the most anticipated part of the elopement day across the board was the LOCATION! This place is seriously, without doubt, to die for!!! Carly says that “the day ended up being gorgeous and we even got lucky with snow the next day!” In our opinion, that is the best part of this Breckenridge Elopement… snow one day, warm weather the next! YES!
You see, Carly + Paul had soooo many things going against this wedding. This location was actually Plan “D”. At first they booked Saphire Point in Dillon, Co. Saphire point is one of the most sought after elopement and wedding locations. The views, the mountains, the…well…everything. But due to COVID, they cancelled ALL weddings until Jan of 2021. So we started location scouting. And let’s be honest. EVERYTHING WAS BOOKED.
We spent hours looking for the perfect spot. Cabins, venues, and everything between. And when this place popped up in my search. I KNEW it was the one! This location is one of the favorite hikes by locals. When we arrived there, I just knew why. The views were breathtaking from the second you arrived. The drive up was a little questionable, but luckily Bryt handled it like a champ!
This location offers mountains, a beautiful lake, and those gorgeous alpine trees. I can only imagine what it would look like with a fresh dusting of snow too! Breckenridge, Colorado, you sure did not disappoint! And even if this was a Plan “D” for Carly + Paul, I think that this plan was truly the way it was meant to be.
Looking for some advice for your elopement or destination wedding? We got you covered with some advice STRAIGHT from our lovely bride. “Plan what you can, but enjoy the time in your destination. You chose it for a reason, enjoy your chosen scenery!” Carly shares with us. This is AWESOME advice and we totally agree! You do not have to be in control all the time, enjoy your chosen paradise and enjoy the time with your partner!!! We totally recommend spending at least a week in your location to take time to just “be”. Plus when you are eloping, you get your wedding + honeymoon all in one! Carly + Paul spent the week enjoying a few hikes, amazing moments with friends, and all the in-betweens, and they couldn’t recommend it more.
Just because you’re in some epic location that doesn’t mean the nerves necessarily go away… When we asked Paul, he gave us a definite “NOPE!” while his wife thinks otherwise, LOL! When we asked Carly, she told us she was not worried about getting married, not at all! She was sooo ready to marry the love of her life. It had been a long time coming! She said she was nervous about everything falling into a perfect place, however. As everyone is on their wedding day 😉
The weather for the Breckenridge Elopement? Absolutely perfect. For Carly and Paul, they say the most unexpected part of the day was the “random emotional moments,” *cute the tears* We love seeing couples who get emotional declaring their love, it is the SWEETEST! I’m pretty sure we saw Paul shed just a few tears during Carly’s vows too.
Their wedding inspo was short and sweet and to the point. “Mountains. Fall. Happiness. Love.” Their wedding truly encapsulated these four ideas they had in mind when we were still in the planning stages. “Love me like you do” was their anthem that played as Carly walked down the mountains aisle. Another small detail we feel like is SO worth sharing is the necklace Carly had made for her now step-daughter that reads “today I tell your dad I Do and I promise to love you forever too.” Y’all…. Is that not the cutest, most adorable thing you’ve ever heard?! We love it so so so much 🙂 This just proves you can elope + have your kiddos there too!

At the end of the day, everyone went home feeling blessed beyond words! It was a sight to see to see these two finalize their marriage on the top of a mountain for their extra special Breckenridge, Colorado Elopement. This day was something movies try to recreate, but this was just as good as it gets. You cannot recreate a day as perfect as this one was! We wish Carly and Paul a happy 2 month wedding anniversary and hopefully many, many more! Want to see their Breckenridge Engagement pictures? Click here!
