Ready to have a unique elopement experience in Las Vegas? It is hard to believe that some of these epic views are just a few miles from The Strip! Here are some tips for having a Southwest Las Vegas Elopement!
There are so many great spots to choose from! How can you ever choose? Here are three our favorite spots that are relatively close to the strip! Each of these offers unique views of the Southwest!
Lake Mead is about 30 minutes from the Last Vegas Strip. We love this beach so much because the water is super clear (and sparkling blue!) plus the beaches are often EMPTY! The best part about this location is that along the way you can pull off and enjoy other unique spots for photos! It is so crazy to think that Lake Mead, a freaking desert oasis, is so close to the lights of Las Vegas!
Red Rock Canyon is the closest park to The Strip and it does not disappoint! With a 25 minute loop around the park there are many beautiful spots to pull off and snap epic elopement photos. Within Red Rock Canyon there are many spots to elope! You could do Ash Spring, which is one of the most elegant backdrops! Red Spring, which provides an amazing view of the Calico Basin! Or the Overlook (a bomb spot for sunset photos!). There are so many option at Red Rock Canyon for a Las Vegas Southwest Elopement!
Many believe that Valley of Fire is the BEST spot for a Las Vegas Southwest Elopement or wedding! It is about 40 minutes from The Strip is offers gorgeous rock views. Ceremony and photo locations are actually determined by the State Park Service and the time of booking and you do have to have a permit here as well. However, you wont regret this beautiful location!
There are a wide variety of places to stay when it comes to choosing in Las Vegas! Many choose to stay right down town in the action, but we also realize that the Strip isn’t always for everyone! We have linked some cute AirBnB’s below for couples who would rather stay away from the Strip!
Lake Mead Villa – A beautiful Southwest inspired Villa near Lake Mead!
Luxury Home in Summerlin– Vegas like vibes throughout plus an epic pool!
Vegas is clearly known for all of the luxurious hotels and night-life. Many couples choose to stay on the Strip so that they can be right in all of the action. We are linking our favorite picture worthy hotels that you will def. not regret staying at!
Red Rock Casino is a beautiful choice if you’d like to get off The Strip but still have the casino vibes. This Casino sits 15 mins from the park entrance to Red Rock (a win win for both hiking and gambling!).
Fremont Street is the perfect mix of Las Vegas nightlife but not too outrageously expensive. Freemont Street is smaller than The Strip and would be my choice if I were to get married in Las Vegas. For the foodies, Fremont Street is where you will want to stay.
You will still need awesome vendors for your Las Vegas Southwest Elopement or Wedding! Here are some local vendors that can help make your day the best!

If you are having a few guests and want to have a nice dinner after your elopement, Las Vegas doesn’t disappoint for unique reception venues!! Here are some cozy little spots for less than 15 guests!
Park on Fremont: Check out the back patio on this restaurant located on Fremont street. This beautiful backyard would make for the cutest photos and post ceremony reception. Located right on Fremont street!
Beer Park: This restaurant is located with a great view of The Strip. You are elevated to be able to watch people but get the great view of the lights and being outside. This restaurant also has some of the best deals on alcohol.
Battista’s Hole in the Wall: This restaurant is a cozy Italian venue with little nooks you could fill with your wedding party. The food is served as one price ($22-$26) a plate and you get soup or salad, meal, dessert and UNLIMITED WINE. Holaaaaa! It really is a great spot for a low key post elopement meal!
Mob Muesum: Yes it might sound strange to have a reception at the Mob museum but in the basement is a Speakeasy. WHATTT?! This package does start at $650 but a beautiful choice for reception and celebration for over 15 people.
After you have used this post to view tips for having a Southwest Las Vegas Elopement, you def should schedule some fun activities to do while you are here! Below are some of the most iconic activities to do in Vegas!
Helicopter Rides: Check out Las Vegas at night from the sky or take a 40 minute helicopter ride to The Grand Canyon!
High Roller: Take a 30 minute ride around on The World’s Tallest Observation Whee and get some gorgeous city views. You can even upgrade your views to a party with an open bar cabin!
Neon Museum: Take a tour of one of the most iconic places in Vegas!
See a Show: We highly recommend a burlesque show or one of their budget comedy shows at Stratosphere. You certainly cannot visit Vegas without seeing a show!
