Here is some background to our Celery Bog Engagement session… Jess and Matt met as next door neighbors. The infamous story goes that Jess was in her backyard working out when Matt pops by to let his dog “go potty”… it is later revealed years later that he just wanted an excuse to talk to her. Dogs are the way to ANYONES heart!!! 🙂
It doesn’t stop with the dogs… a month later, Matt drops by AGAIN, this time asking about a stray cat in the neighborhood! CLEARLY we have an animal lover over here!!! Jess and Matt talk about it for a couple minutes and move on. A couple days go by without talking and Matt finally shoots his shot by leaving a note with his number on Jess’s car window and the rest is history! They have been together two years and are living the good life here in good old Indiana!!!!
The Proposal
On Matt’s birthday weekend this year he told Jess he had made a plan for their evening and he was taking her out to dinner… immediately thinking something was off because Matt hates birthdays and why would you plan something for your own birthday, she nonetheless agreed to go!
First stop was London House in downtown Chicago… then to a nice dinner at Gibsons Italia. YUMMMMM!!!! With a view of the Chicago River right there, how do you get better than that?!
Next thing Jess knows is their waitress is bringing out a dessert they didn’t order… and then Matt drops to one knee!!!! Both of them were tearing up as Jess said “YES!”
The Session
The Celery Bog never disappoints, and it certainly was beautiful for this Engagement Session! A memorable moment for both Jess and Matt during their session was a prompt we gave them… Ready for it?! (Cue the Taylor Swift). “Whisper in your partners ear your favorite vegetable but it HAS to be in your sexiest voice.” LOL!!!!! That is one of our favorite ones, too. 🙂
