We are so excited to share Andrea + Alex’s Engagement Photos in Lafayette, Indiana with you! Andrea + Alex (and their Labrador Retriever pup, Finn) were the absolute BOMB to work with!!! Follow along to hear about their story and gorgeous sunset engagement session!

Upon arrival at Fairfield Lakes Park in Lafayette, Indiana you are met with two lakes on either side of the road. This Indiana park attracts hikers, kayakers, and fishermen alike! The sunset sets beautiful in this park right over the striking lakes.

Alex + Andrea// Engagement Photos in Lafayette, Indiana

Andrea + Alex met while working at the same Christo’s restaurant… the rest is history! Their engagement, however, is a bit of a story! Andrea writes that Alex proposed to her at 6 in the morning on Christmas Eve!!!! Talk about a surprise wake up call… She writes that she was brushing her teeth and getting ready for the days work when Alex knocks on the door looking for mustard of all things! Annoyed, she went downstairs to find it, right where it always is, but with a ring right beside it! He proposed and she headed straight off to work for the day, haha!

When Andrea and Alex’s session first started, we headed over to the tall grass in between the two lakes. At first their adorable pup, Finn, was just too excited to sit pretty for pictures so we decided to let him run off some steam and took some pictures of Alex + Andrea playing catch with Finn and his favorite frisbees… right into the sunset! Talk about picture perfect!!!!

After this we walked down closer to the water and snapped some pictures by the edge. Alex + Andrea nailed the prompt where they “whisper your favorite vegetable” into the other’s ear… in which I believe ended in “IS THAT EVEN A VEGETABLE?!!” and tons of laughs! The best series of pictures though, is when Andrea got on Alex’s back and Alex had to try to “buck her off like a bull”, I don’t think any reaction could have compared to the laughs and smiles in those pictures.

To close out the session, we decided to have a little bit of fun… to make a long story short, two Champaign bottles and a lot of wet clothes later – we got some epic Champaign popping shots! Even Finn got in on that action!
