Live in Indy or willing to make the drive? Newfields Art Museum has a famous sculpture that screams “love”, pun intended! Before/after your memorable proposal, you can enjoy the art museum for what it was intended for, art! You can walk and enjoy the works of Georgia O’keeffe, Van Gogh, and whoever else’s work they may have showcased when you’re there! Not only all of this, but they have one inside and one outside per whatever feels right! Your significant other will be sure to love this choice.
2. Your Alma Mater
Did you and your significant other meet in college? If so, what is more romantic than a full circle moment? Purdue, IU, Butler… whatever campus you shared your college years surely has some special places to pop the special question.
Some examples include; Purdue’s Bell Tower, where the local legend is that if you walk under the tower with your partner while it rings – you are soulmates. Are you animal lovers or do you work in the animal industry? Make your proposal one surrounded by the creatures you love and adore by proposing at the Indianapolis Zoo! Giraffe lovers? 8. Brown County
Brown County, Indiana. Known for its scenery and never ending nature! What’s more romantic for a couple of nature lovers than a proposal surrounded by it! Plan a hike with a romantic lunch or dinner, and end up at a lookout point or the famous Bean Blossom Bridge! This bridge is any photographer’s dream and a proposal spot to fantasize about. Fall, spring, summer, winter… this part of the state is absolutely breathtaking.
9. Indiana Dunes
The Indiana Dunes are Indiana’s foremost try at a beach on the coast. If you’re a couple of beach lovers but want to stay local for a proposal or save money for the wedding… The Dunes are a carbon copy for the beach down South.
