Sarah & TJ were married after 8 years of dating, at St Augustine Church in Northwest Indiana on a gorgeous, chilly November day. After their ceremony, we headed over to Buckley Homestead to take their bridal party and couple portraits. And I’m so glad we did because it was gorgeous!! The couple planned a simple, elegant wedding focused on their loved ones and enjoying the day together. I loved that their entire day was so down to earth, just like them! Burgundy and blush was their color scheme. There was a lot of DIY and fun tidbits that showed their personality, like their first dance song, which was Nothing Else Matters by Metallica, TJ’s favorite. The song was a surprise from Sarah. TJ was under the impression they were dancing to Ed Sheeran’s, Perfect.
However, Sarah really wanted to surprise her Groom by including some of his personality in their special day as well. Metallica is his favorite band and Sarah managed to keep the song a secret from him up until the moment it played for their first dance. Sarah said it was a very special moment for the two of them and she’s so glad she could pull it off. I have to agree, the look on his face and the smile returned from Sarah’s was priceless!
Likewsie, their entire day was filled with special, intimate moments just like this, making their wedding personable and memorable for everyone who attended.
