Hosting your event at the Tinker House is sure to be something to be talked about for yearsss to come! Tinker House Events is a place to host your wedding and/or wedding reception. This crazy and ohhhhh so desirable location is on floor two of The Tinker House!
The original appeal of this building remains intact, actually! It stays drawing in visitors from far and wide who appreciate historic structures because of the aesthetic of the establishment! It heavily exudes an industrial charm, only amplified by exposed brick walls and hanging light fixtures! As photographers…. nothingggg gets better than this place and the aesthetics hahaha. We’re professionals, you can trust us! 😉 This space is refurbished and has plenty of elements that help you to entertain your guests. These entertaining eye-catchers include barrel tables, light-filled windows, and wide-plank hardwood floors. I meannnn, they caught our eye for sure!

Tinker Coffee Co. is a locally owned specialty coffee roaster right below the wedding venue! So what really makes this location unique is the fact that during cocktail hour, your guests can be mingling downstairs in the beautiful coffee shop! But don’t worry, they serve drinks in the coffee shop too 😉

Jess & Kate// Their Story
They met on Tinder! Say it with us, INTERNET WINNNNN! Wooohoooo, we love online love stories hahaha we are big fans. Kate had accepted a job in Indy and swiped right on Jess a few months before moving to town… and that’s where the fun begins. They talked for a few months and finally made plans to meet up after Kate moved! The love birds stayed up most of the night talking and when it got late, Kate gave Jess my number and said: “here’s my number, I’m pretty sure you’re not a serial killer.” HAHA!
Kate says she was drawn in by a photo of Jess with Obama (who could say no to that???). Jess thought Kate was “cute and easy to talk to.” they are always teasing each other because their first date was at an Indiana Fever game and they got asked to play those cheesy halftime games on the court… Kate was all about it!! “Jess looked like the thought made her want to hurl so we bowed out”, Kate says… LOL.
Together
Together, they love exploring new restaurants and breweries. “As much as we love to explore, We’re regulars at the BBQ restaurant near our house! That’s where we spend a lot of our date nights and where we drag all of our friends whenever we can.” Moooood. We feel that on a personal level haha! They share that they are on a hunt to find the best Thai food in Indy. They like to hike and explore new places together… “as long as Jess has taken her allergy pills” hahaha we love that. They are biiiiig live music fans – especially outdoor concerts! We can relate, fully! They share that they are blessed with a niece (Emerson) and a nephew (Jett) and they LOVE hanging out with them. “Emerson loves to teach us ballet. Jett loves to play Spiderman.”
The Proposal
Jess says, “I knew I wanted to propose somewhere that looked cool so Bottleworks fit. We had never been there before so I thought she also wouldn’t expect it. I got some of our grieved together and they hid out inside of one of the shops. And I told Kate we were going to take a picture and when she turned around to take the selfie I was down on one knee. I wasn’t actually nervous at all. It just felt like the start of our new chapter together. I was just excited! Our friends popped out after and we got dinner downtown to celebrate.”
And from Kate, “I love that Jess had some of our friends there. We’re big on chosen family and it meant a lot to have some of the people there.”
We cannot love this love any more than we do! AWH! This love story is what led us to this Tinker House Events Wedding and we are so grateful.
