Winter engagement Sessions, where do we start?! Winter can pose a few problems for us Indiana Folks! First off, it’s really cold. Like realllllly cold. Aside from the random summer like days (#midwestprobs) it’s almost way too cold to get outside! But don’t worry we have the perfect solution! In-home sessions are perfect for when the weather is less than ideal! Plus it’s so fun to include your pets, your home, and any favorite hobbies that the two of you like to do! So, without further adieu, let’s dive into Shannon + Dean’s Crown Point Indiana Engagement Session!

First, let’s start off by hearing all about their story! Shannon explains, “We were set up by our two friends that happened to be dating. They felt bad that we were always a third wheel so my friend convinced me to follow him on Instagram and he came thru the dm’s with a quote from the office, one of my favorite shows, “you miss 100% of the shots you don’t take” -Michael scott and the rest was history.” WOW! Dean for the win!

Now for the proposal… We’ll let Shannon take that over again! “He had a huge plan for our vacation in Grand Rapids but it was canceled due to covid and he’s terrible at keeping secrets or gifts of any kind. So one day when I was minding my own business sleeping peacefully he wakes me up in bed and asks if I would be his best friend forever and I being half asleep said “go away.” And then he said, “No really wake up!” And then I saw a bright light in a box and I jumped out of bed and finally said “YES” 😂. He then took me to my grandmas so we could show her and have lunch because he knows how important family is to me. Covid has changed a lot of things but this was one I wouldn’t have any other way.”

I’m a sucker for good proposal stories and that folks, is PERFECT! I love how much it is just THEM. I love how personal it was and how he included Shannon’s grandma… LOVE LOVE LOVE! Dean got her beautiful ring from James & Son’s Fine Jewelers, and BOY did he deliver!

SO when we started to plan their engagement session, we thought of all kinds of ideas. But, the one thing that kept coming up was that they worked so hard on their new home! Here’s what they had to say about their engagement session. “I think the fact that we get to have pictures with our sweet baby and in our first home will be one of the greatest memories when we’re looking back on these photos and remember where we started.” Cue the tears!

Let’s dive in to their In-Home Crown Point Indiana Engagement Session!

So let’s reflect! We asked them what they loved about their in-home session! “Um Everything! I loved that we got to capture things we do daily but I think sometimes take for granted like snuggling on the couch or dancing in the kitchen with our dog. It was a little stressful beforehand trying to clean and get ready but it was so worth it! I love our little home and renovations have taken over a year so it’s fun to see progress too.”

Notice they said it was kinda stressful cleaning?! LOL #ihatecleaningtoo but we have the PERFECT solution to this problem! Guess what?!
