Holy Smokes! Are you guys ready for Zac + Bri’s Indianapolis, Indiana Anniversary Session?! It is one for the books that’s for sure! We teamed up with Alicia Hunneman of Amelia Marie Florals and really SLAYED this sesh! Alicia is literally one of the best humans ever! Her knowledge of the wedding industry just blows me out of the water every time we chat!
Now let’s talk about Zac + Bri! These two have been together for 5 1/2 years but on September 21 of 2020 they will be celebrating their first wedding anniversary! So clearly a session to commemorate their first year was in order!
Keeping your marriage fun is definitely something you should put at the top of your list! They have not settled on just one thing they do to keep things fun. BUT they try weekly game nights, ice cream dates, and really anything else that strikes them! Zac + Bri are still trying to figure out their own traditions. They want to take their time and just go with the flow of their relationship!
We asked Zac + Bri during their Indianapolis, Indiana Anniversary Session what their advice is for newly weds and this is what they said! “Our biggest piece of advice would be to keep choosing one another, every single day, in all of your decisions. Sometimes it can take some work to grow with someone but it’s so worth it!” This is probably THE BEST piece of advice you can get and give as newlyweds!
Making Time for Each Other // Date Ideas For Busy Couples
In the next part of this blog, we asked our couples to come up with a PERFECT date night or share one of their favorite weekend getaways! Making time for each other is so dang important in a marriage, I know Bryt + I do not do it enough! I feel like so often we struggle coming up with quick getaway ideas on our own or we can’t seem to choose what we should do on our weekly date nights. So hopefully this helps you come up with a perfect idea!

Slippery Noodle Inn
Enjoy some music at the Slippery Noodle Inn. It’s the oldest bar in Indianapolis and it’s definitely a place you need to go at least once it you have never gone before. The Slippery Noodle Inn is a large blues bar and restaurant with two performance stages in downtown. It is the oldest continuously operating bar in the state of Indiana, having opened in 1850. The Inn served as a stop on the Underground Railroad during the American Civil War. How is this for cool?!
Crackers Comedy Club
Enjoy some laughs at Crackers Comedy Club. One of the best comedy places in Indianapolis to see local talent as well as national recognized talent on the stage. See local comedians on Tuesdays for open mic night, maybe you will discover a hidden talent!
Weekend Getaway-Kansas City, MO
Bri + Zac enjoy weekend getaways to Kansas City, MO! We have put together a few things to do to create the PERFECT weekend getaway, with a lot of help from this couple of course!
The City Market
Bri + Zac HIGHLY recommend visiting the city market! The couple really enjoys the fresh cut flowers, spices and all of the beautiful art the city market has to offer. They have a train that will take you from anywhere in KC to the market downtown. The market is open everyday, all year long and it is all LOCAL! Definitely a must see!
Power & Light District
The Power & Light District is a nine-block neighborhood featuring a variety of local, regional and national restaurants, shops, entertainment venues, nightlife and lifestyle amenities. The neighborhood is surrounded by landmarks and entertainment icons like Sprint Center, the Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts, and the Crossroads Arts District!
So many things to do just in this area alone! You can grab a bite to eat, grab a few drinks, and watch a game! PERFECT!
