-Says you amazing wedding photographer
You get my drift! You open the link and see your BOMB.COM wedding photos. You cry, you laugh, you share with EVERY SINGLE PERSON that will look at them. (#amiright?) Then you continuously scroll through your gallery, share your favs to instagram and facebook. Then what? Weeks go by, they are still online. NOW WHAT?
If you have been wondering what do with your wedding photos, this post is for you!
Bryt and I literally hadn’t printed a single wedding photo for over a year. HOW EMBARRASSING. A wedding photographer who hasn’t printed her own photos?! I only speak the truth guys. Life gets buys and then months pass. I knew we wanted to hang them on our walls, but how? And what else do we do with them? I wanted to find some creative and unique things to do with these photos that we love and cherish so much. I hope this post helps you figure out what to do with your amazing photos!
No but really, download all of them. Put them on a a flash drive in a safe spot. Your photographer may keep them forever, but hard drives can fail. Online servers can go down. You just never know! Download your entire gallery and put them on a drive with just your wedding photos. (We can even make personalized flash drives with your wedding photos on them for you!) Then, back them up online! Amazon has an amazing personal photo back up program that you can use. Or google photos is super great! Just don’t forget to do this step! Trust us!
Usually your photographer will send a few sneak peeks your way. Use those photos to create a thank you card to send for all of your wedding gifts. You can even order them from most online galleries. Don’t forget vendors LOVE getting thank you cards! I especially love seeing the photos we took on a card 😉 And who doesn’t love snail mail?
Facebook and Instagram may soon be things of the past. Just look what happened to Myspace. Online albums don’t compare one single bit to the feelings you get when you flip through your printed album. Sure you might only look at it a few times a year, but imagine your kids or grand-kids peeking through it and reliving your day. Cue the tears! There are so many great services out there. Choose one and have fun! How cute would it be to make it a date night activity with some wine? Or ask us to make you a custom album! We love being able to see the finished product before we send it your way!
It doesn’t have to be Christmas to print out a few of your family photos and deliver them as gifts. Head to your nearest Tj Max and score some super cute frames. Wrap them up and send them to your family and friends! You honestly don’t even need to have frames, you could just send the printed photos in your thank you cards above!
This one is pretty unique l but I am literally obsessed with it. I follow a girl named Rachel Wadlow on nearly every social media platform. Her painting is breathtakingly beautiful. She takes your photos and turns them into abstract art. I’m not kidding when I say this stuff is beautiful. I am just drawn to the colors, textures, and feelings that she creates with her paintings. Imagine sending her a photo of the two of you and allowing her to capture the raw and intimate love that you share. Click here to explore her page.
Okay, this one is pretty obvious. But I feel like so often we print them in 8×10’s or 10×10’s and we forget that our walls are actually WAY bigger than we think they are. Your walls are HUGE. Make your canvas a statement! Print those babies HUGE! Now we have amazing labs that do a WONDERFUL job at printing canvases. We are calibrated with their printers and the colors turn out so true. However, my second favorite place for printing large canvases at a good price is Smallwoods. Just remember, BIG is better in this case! If you are second guessing the size of a photo there is an APP for that! Download the “WallApp” and take a picture of where you want to put your photos. It will put the photos on the wall and you can size them to the correct size. How cool is that?!
There are so many cute websites out there that can turn your photos into a desktop or hanging calendar. My favorite site is a website that provides super modern, yet cute desktop calendars. I am uber obsessed with these simple calendars from Artifact Uprising. Print one out for you and your spouse to have at work. Any maybe one to have at home as well!
So, there you have it! I can’t wait to see what you do with your wedding photos! Do you have any ideas on the list that we didn’t think about? Put them in the comment section below! We’d love to hear what you did with your photos!
