Tapawingo Park
Tapawingo Park is known for the downtown nature + city vibes! I love this spot because you can literally get foresty vibes, urban vibes, and even stroll along the “beach” aka Wabash vibes all in one. It is a park that offers a lot of variety in scenery! After you finish around the park, you can head over the pedestrian bridge and shoot throughout downtown Lafayette or head over to a parking garage and shoot some beautiful sunset portraits! Dogs are allowed here!
In the winter time, you can even get your engagement photos captured here on Riverside Ice Skating Rink!

Celery Bog
The Celery Bog is actually located in West Lafayette, but it is super close to Lafayette 🙂 The Celery Bog is easily one of our favorite locations to shoot engagement photos! First off, the tall grasses, wildflowers, and foresty vibes are perfect for photos! Second off, the LIGHTING at sunset. We love to chase the light until past sunset and even shoot into blue hour here (that is the blue-ish time aftet sunset)! We love to hike around and explore here, plus find new perspectives each time we come.
If you are up for a sunrise session you’ll get the honor of seeing all of the beautiful birds that are out and about! You’ll probably see bird photographers too!
Another benefit about this location is that there is a bathroom so you can change into another outfit if you desire! Dogs are allowed here!

Purdue Horticulture Park
Hort Park as it is called is another favorite! And even though this one is West Lafayette, I had to include it too! I especially love Hort Park during the winter time! There is this beautiful display of Evergreen Trees and IF you get lucky and it snows, it is MAGICAL! But either way, we love Hort Park year round! In the spring there are flowers blooming everywhere. In the fall, we find that the trees here for whatever reason stay a little yellow + red longer than others. And we could just keep going on and on! Dogs are allowed here!

Fairfield Lakes Park
Fairfield Lakes Park is a 4 lake property in Lafayette with beautiful tall grasses, gorgeous sunsets, and water access to even splash in the creek! We have had a couple canoe here, set up a picnic here, and hike around some of the lakes! You’ll catch a lot of people here fishing, and just enjoying the sights! It does have a strict closing policy of 8:30 or dusk, whichever comes first! They lock up those gates pretty quick and you don’t want to be stuck 🙂 Dogs are allowed here!

Happy Hollow Park
Happy Hollow Park is one of those fall locations you do not want to miss! Hiking Trails, Biking Trails, and beautiful sunrises/sunsets! This is probably one of the more popular fall locations for sessions! We love the bridges, and the little creek that runs through the park. There are some taller grasses but it is mostly woods. Which is perfect in the fall! Dogs are allowed here!

Prophetstown State Park
Like the idea of rolling hills, grasses, wildlife, and more? It’s so easy to see why many other couples choose Prophetstown as their go to engagement session location! The sunsets here are mafical and it feels like every time we visit, we get to explore a new spot here! Lots of people enjoy the farm, camping, and the aquatic center as well! This location does require a state parks pass or an $8.00 per vehicle fee. Dogs are allowed here!

Wildcat Creek Park
We love a good creek romping session at Wildcat Creek Park! Not to mention the woodsy vibes, plus the evergreen trees! It’s easy to see why we have shot here a lot! There is a questionable path to the river (that can get pretty muddy) but it is worth it in our opinion 🙂 Dogs are allowed here!

Purdue University
You can’t mention Best Engagement Sessions in Lafayette, Indiana without mentioning Purdue University. Many couples who meet here, choose to have their engagement session here! And they are in luck because we think it is a pretty beautiful campus! We love to check out the fountains, the Union, and the big Purdue sign when photographing our couples here! Bonus points if it is happening during winter and you get to have all of the lights in the background!

Tippecanoe Battlefield
Tippecanoe Battlefield is a 104 acre location with creek access and dense forest vibes! In addition to the hiking trails there are also several buildings that photograph well! This is another gorgeous location for fall leaves!

Secret Locations
Yes, even Lafayette and West Lafayette have secret locations that we don’t tag or share online! We love that these spots have way less people and usually when we go to them we don’t see another soul! So one of the benefits of hiring us is that you also get our secret lists 🙂 You could say it is one of the perks!

This list isn’t exhaustive but there are many more parks in Lafayette and West Lafayette where you can have your engagement photos taken!
