From the moment Frances inquired, we could feel the love and excitement pouring through the screen. The anticipation of the proposal was palpable and we couldn’t wait to capture the special moment for this amazing couple. We knew this was going to be a proposal session to remember, and boy, did it deliver! The love, the joy, the tears – it was all there and we were honored to be a part of it. About Frances & Ali
On their engagement date, Frances & Ali have been together for 2 1/2 years. Their meeting was pretty much just fate as Alison’s mom was Frances’ professor. They met at a party and the rest was just plain history! They spent lots of time getting to know one another and they fell in love pretty quickly! We can def. see why!
About The Location
Frances sent me a few inspiration images that included a secluded, wooded location with a simple set up for her partner. We got to work and came up with a PERFECT set up that you’ll see below! Bryt and I strung pictures of their years together between two trees and set up a rug so that Frances new exactly where to get down on one knee.
You can easily see why Purdue Horticulture Park was the perfect spot for their location. While most parks had lost the green on the trees, Hort Park has a series of evergreen trees that stay green year round. Win win for us! Not to mention that the night before their LGBTQ proposal session, it snowed! Could you dream of any better landscape?! Don’t think so!
Their LGBTQ+ Proposal Session and How it all went down
So Frances and I crafted a plan to trick Ali into thinking it would just be a regular couples session. They arrived and we started off the session just like any other. Loosing up, getting to know one another, and a few fun poses that got the energy and vibes flowing.
As we continued the session I told Frances to lead Ali into the trees. As you scroll through the pictures you can see the exact moment when Ali realizes what is actually happening. She walked into a secluded area, surrounded by trees, with the cutest little set up of their memories.
Frances then got down on one knee and proposed to Ali… Clearly she said yes! We then spent the rest of the time capturing their love and excitement!
