Amber and Bobby are not new to our blog… but they are NEWlyweds! Say what?!!! YES. These two are officially hitched and we now get to blog all about them, their day,0 and their crazy awesome venue. Keep scrolling to see all the tear jerkingly adorable wedding photos + to read about their eMbers Wedding Venue in Rensselaer.
Now we know what you are probably thinking…. Rensselaer, Indiana? Really?! OKAY hear us out. This little town might not look like it has a ton to offer, but it does! eMbers VENUE began wayyyy back in 2013 as a WAREHOUSE, but then someone had the fabulous idea of turning it into an event space – and it has been a hit! This place is seriously awesome.
After years of wedding receptions, reunions, baby/bridal showers, concerts, corporate events, and other private gatherings, the owners actually expanded the space and created “the STATION”….. ominous, right?!
It is home to a wood fired, brick oven bistro eatery and craft bar that just so happens to feature local flavors and tastes. Anything local is totally our jam!! LOVE IT. This little place is little old Rensselaer, Indiana is not only a hidden gem – but a jack of all trades.
You’ve seen them on our blog before, but this time they are officially married!
These two got engaged on December 21, 2019 and officially MARRIED on July 10, 2021! Amber and Bobby started dating in May 2012, but as life would have it, they took some time apart as Amber started her career and Bobby continued his education. Life may get in the way sometimes, but what is meant to be will always find it’s way back. They reunited in February 2017 and have been together ever since!
Bobby proposed in Indy – a city that is OH so important to them as a couple because that is actually where Bobby lived when the two lovebirds got back together! He took Amber to St. Elmo’s (YUM), and followed it with a romantic carriage ride downtown… SWOON!
The ride ended at Monument Circle with all of those beautiful Christmas lights and music. It seriously sounds picture perfect. Bobby asked Amber to marry him and even went a step further… he had an entire CREW of friends and family ready to snap the beautiful moment! Talk about a proposal of the year! And now, they have officially sealed the deal!
We could go on and on about Amber + Bobby and their wedding, but we know you really want to know about this beautiful venue that they booked for their day! Let’s talk about eMbers!
eMbers began in 2013 as a warehouse turned into an event venue. The name eMbers represents a new beginning for an evolution of space in the downtown area. eMbers turly rebranded the city’s history with modern thinking. In June of 2016, artist Cameron Moberg painted the famous mural on the wall of Embers, known as “Take Flight”. We truly love everything that eMbers stands for! From the beginning all the way through now!
We love eMbers for so so so many reasons. This location and its owners created the perfect place for Bobby and Amber and we couldn’t love them any more for that! The creativity and individuality that bleeds out of this place is amazing and as photographers and lovers of art… this place just speaks to us!
Plus, the owners and I go waaaay back! Think like 10+ years back! When one of the owners, (Ryan) was a photograper, I was his intern! He taught me so much about the photography world. So when a photographer turns venue owner, you know they leave no detail overlooked!
OF COURSE! Y’all know us….. would we RAVE about a place that wasn’t?! A quote straight from their website by Jack Allsop is “We are all embers from the same fire.” WE LOVE THAT! It is so true and we love eMbers for their dedication to individuality and focuses on what connects us rather than what separates us. A wedding at eMbers Wedding Venue in Rensselaer will never be a bad choice.
Another reason we love eMbers is because not only are they a wedding venue, but connected right next to the venue is this beautiful gas station turned bistro! Meet eMbers Station! You can rent the outdoor space for your cocktail hour or even reception! Picture having your first dance under the stars and then having your guests enjoy the night as they party it on with you! It’s the perfect combo. The Station truly completes eMbers!
We got you, baby! Connect here with eMbers! Tell ’em we sent ya, better yet, connect here with us too! Let’s build a creative team for your special day 🙂 Speaking of creative teams, the creative team that worked together at Amber + Bobby’s wedding is like no other! Check them out below!
