If you ask me, plants are a love language! My wife always loves getting (and giving) plants! So of course when we found this super cute queer-owned plant shop, we HAD to share it! YourQueerPlantShop is out of New Haven Country, CT and they have tropical indoor plants for everyone! I’m so in love with their variety of plants! Check out their restocks + enjoy some beautiful plants!
Another great candle company on the list! Queer Candle Co. specializes in a variety of amazing-smelling candles (including flameless ones!) for those of you that can’t burn a candle! They are based out of Brooklyn, NY! I love that each candle is topped with a visual representation of the scent (like herbs, dehydrated fruits or salt rocks). They use soy wax to ensure a longer burn and they use only non-toxic fragrances! Plus 10% of each purchase goes back to the Sylvia Rivera Law Project!
Allie + Sam are one of my favorite couples to follow on IG! They are such a cute, down-to-earth couple + they just so happen to own a super adorable clothing and accessory shop! My favorite shirt they have reads “we’re not sisters.”. HA! My wife and I always get asked this at every wedding we shoot together! Plus they partnered with Sam’s mom to make the most amazing coffee mugs. Once you see them, you’ll have to have them! The mugs are restocked and sold through HERE!
I’m sure we had you at coffee! Well you are in for a real treat! Helen and her partner Brooke are the co-founders of Equator Coffees, which has coffee for all kinds of coffee lovers! Books are also one of my love languages (aside from coffee). What better business to support than a black-owned, queer-owned, bookstore by Hannah Oliver!? Loyalty Bookstore is working to diversify the publishing industry with her permanent location in D.C. and now they have an online shop too! Instead of buying your books from Amazon, shop small + local!
