The ceremony was held June 27th, 2020 at the American Reformed Church of Demotte. Just moments before they exchanged their first look down the aisle, both Kristin + Blake read letters from one another. Nerves were swept away with the comfort in knowing that a brand new life filled with a beauty marriage awaited them! After their beautiful ceremony we headed to the Jasper County fairgrounds to dance the night away and enjoy a breathtaking sunset over the corn fields! One of the perks of a reception at the fairgrounds is truly the sunset photos! Scroll to see them at the end!
Kristin + Blake // Words About Their Day
When asked what their most anticipated part of their day was, their answers paralleled. Blake says he was most excited to see his then-soon to be wife walk down the aisle… and Kristin? She was most excited to see Blake’s reaction as she walked down the aisle. And let me make it known that it did not disappoint! Blake wiped away a few tears as he saw his soon to be wife step down the aisle! ADORABLE!!!!
Their favorite parts of the wedding, however, were very individual. Blake commented on how he loved seeing how many people came out to celebrate their love, while Kristin’s was the short drive in their old red truck between the ceremony + reception when it was just them enjoying each others company and celebrating their vows! LIKE COME ON! SO SWEET!
They set off their married life driving away in an old pickup truck…. but what you might not know is that this red + silver truck was the first truck Blake had bought… when he was 14! It has been through pretty much every stage of life with him and it was important that it was incorporated into his wedding. He even worked tirelessly before the wedding to make sure his bride had air conditioning for their big day! What an awesome heirloom this will be + a heck of a story to go with it!
They are most excited to get to continue to learn + grow through each other as husband and wife and embrace any surprises along the way! Check out the photos below + relive their special day!
