We are so excited to share Sam + Tadd’s Gatlinburg, Tennessee Anniversary Session with you!We had such a wonderful time exploring and location scouting while finding a few secret spots in Gatlinburg to take photos at! Overlooks and parks were the perfect location spots!

Gatlinburg is such a perfect spot for an adventure session because it has the mountain views without tons of travel (if you are coming from Indiana). It can be a great long weekend getaway plus you can spend some time in downtown Gatlinburg enjoying the shops and aquarium too!But I think everyone agrees when they say that the hiking is where it’s at!

Gatlinburg is home to Great Smokey Mountain National park which often goes across both Tennessee and North Carolina. The Smokey Mountains are a part of the Appalachian Mountains and you can even catch a hike on the Appalachian trail off of Newfoundland Gap road or at Clingman’s Dome! There is certainly a hike for all types of levels, and there are some pretty easy ones only about 5 or so minutes away from downtown Gatlinburg!

Sam + Tadd’s Story

Okay, okay, enough about the gorgeous town of Gatlinburg, let’s get on with Sam + Tadd’s anniversary session! Sam + Tadd started dating in August 29, 2010! Tadd was the first one to show an interest in Sam and would ask her what was for dinner every evening in the Cafe (at Saint Joseph’s College- Go Pumas!). Sam was always so nervous so she would make her teammates answer. Not knowing that it was his way of getting her attention. Once they started dating it ALL made sense!

They were officially engaged on December 31, 2010 and got married on September 29, 2012. Tadd (re)sealed the deal on September 30, 2019 at their favorite spot… Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida!

They spent the day exploring Animal Kingdom and ended their day checking out the World of Avatar. During their ride n the Va’vi River Journey, Tadd pulled out the ring, which lit up because of the black light effects on the ride! Sam was in complete shock and had no idea it was coming!

Advice from the Couple

Sam + Tadd suggest bringing a sense of adventure (and some good hiking shoes) for your adventure session! Being able to wander around the different spots can truly help you get the best photos! Plus, bringing a fun attitude is always a great idea 🙂 Seeing as we give you fun prompts, I think we can agree with this one too!
