We spent time with Hannah and Jon at the Riverside Ice Skating Rink for their West Lafayette, Indiana engagement session. Previously, I had explained to Hannah and Jon that I thought it would be fun to do a session at the ice skating rink. When I mentioned it to Hannah, she said that her and Jon were totally up for the challenge! It was a fun and unique session as the couple skated on the ice (avoiding all of the other falling kids and adults – ha!). They even avoided falling!
Hannah and Jon met in a memorable and fantastic way, through charity work with Habitat for Humanity. And they’ll plan to ring in the new year just the same, as their date is set as New Years Eve. They’ll be kissing under a firework display as a newly married couple.
Hannah and Jon talked for almost 21 hours straight on a trip to Amarillo, TX. It was the start of a lifelong friendship. Hannah fell in love with Jons service to others. Without even realizing it, his giving heart stole hers. They dated for a few years and it strengthened their relationship as they became lifelong friends.
Jon put a lot of thought and detail into creating the perfect proposal for Hannah. From the ring, to the dinner, and movies! First, he went to Blake at Good Stone in Texas for the perfect ring. The ring was simple and full of sparkle! Jon planned a backyard dinner and a movie to watch for an unusual date night. He made Hannah the meal from their first date and they watched one of her favorite movies. Not only that, but Jon also compiled a video from some of Hannah’s favorite people. They all said what they loved about me. While the tears were flowing after several minutes of hearing some humbling words from family and friends, Jonathon’s video ended the movie with THE question. Then, he got down on one knee, displaying the ring.
